Attendance
It is critical for your child's well being that as a parent, you emphasize timeliness and daily attendance. We encourage you to have a look at the information regarding this topic published by the California Parent Teacher Association (PTA) found on this link. First period begins at 8:35 A.M.. Parents should drop off their children with ample time to make it to class on time. Together, we can help your child have the brightest possible future!
There are two ways to report an absence. Either:
- Online through Chino Absence Reporting Form
- Call the Attendance Office at (909) 627-7351 ext. 3020
Attendance office hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm daily
- You have 5 days to clear an absence through the attendance office. Absences can be cleared using the following methods:
- Online through Aeries communication, after recieveing a message.
- Write a note and send it with your student. Notes should include student’s full name, student ID number, grade level, the date(s) of the absence, reason for absence, and it be signed by a parent.
- Call the attendance office @ 909-627-7351 3021 (Bertha Solis) or X3022 (AnaPaula Fernandez). Please be aware when calling in, you may experience delays when calling right before school or at lunchtime due to a high volume of activity during those times.
- No students will be signed out between 3:00pm–3:22 pm on a regular school day.
Absence Verification
(AR 5113, EC 46012, 5 CCR 306)
CVUSD requests that parents/guardians clear their student's absence daily. Parents/guardians have 5 school days to clear absences with the school's attendance clerk. If not cleared within five school days, the absence becomes unverified and cannot be changed.
